Phase 2 - The Walls (Dec. 8, 2006)

ReBath & More returned to install the new walls.  I bought new towel racks which they also installed that day.  The old towel rack (on the right wall) kept falling down and was bend out of shape.

Here is the new towel rack on the new walls. Off to the left you can see how the shower wall is thicker and you can see the separation between the two types of walls.

Here is the new single towel holder.

I decided to keep the mirror and the lights. These will be the only items (other than the door) that will remain. Here you can see parts of both main walls with some goober in the middle.

I bought and installed this door stop. The old one was a floor based one with a spring that never really stopped the door knob from hitting the wall.

Here is a much better shot of the new walls and the lights.  I like the lighting system much better than the ones where the lights are on the mirror and that is why I will not replace it.

I bought and replaced the old door knob.  The old one had lost most of the protective coating and the deteriorating latch made the door difficult to close.

Since ReBath & More had to remove the vanity and cabinet in order to install the walls they took the unit and disposed of it.  They removed the new faucet first that had to be replaced immediately when the initial leak was discovered.  It will be reinstalled on the new vanity.  You can see at the bottom of the old wall under the pipes some of the water damage that occurred when the old faucet leaked.
